High profile American celebrity, Carson Kressley, raised the profile of same-sex marriage at last night's Logie's ceremony by wearing the universally-recognised symbol of marriage equality, the white knot.Australian Marriage Equality (AME) spokesperson, Peter Furness, said that white knots were worn by many prominent celebrities at this year's Academy Awards in Hollywood.
"We welcome Carson Kressley's leadership on this issue and urge all supporters of full legal equality for same-sex couples to follow his example", Mr Furness said.
"Everyone should have the right to tie the knot."
