VGLRL outraged by Kennett’s comments

The Victorian Gay and Lesbian Rights Lobby (VGLRL) today expressed outrage and disappointment in relation to comments made by Victorian ex-Premier Jeff Kennett regarding the sacking of Ken Campagnolo by Bonnie Doon Football Club.Mr Kennett was quoted in the Herald Sun equating gay men to paedophiles.
“This is offensive and ill considered rhetoric which has been used to alienate the gay and lesbian communities for far too long. Mr Kennett is clearly out of touch with the realities of sexuality and the development of anti discrimination law” said Stephen Jones, Co-convenor of the Victorian Gay and Lesbian Rights Lobby.
