Parties queried on wide range of GLBTI issues

GLBTI human rights advocacy group, the Australian Coalition for Equality, is surveying all political parties contesting the 2007 federal election.

Spokespeople, Rod Swift and Martine Delaney, said ACE is keen to know where the parties stand on a wide variety of issues as well as big-ticket items like discrimination against same-sex couples.

"While headline issues like relationship recognition are in our survey, we've also asked questions on issues like GLBTI health, education, violence and suicide programs, Defence Force anti-harassment policies, and Australian Government advocacy against GLBTI discrimination in other countries", Mr Swift said.
