Respond to the Victorian fertility inquiry

What follows is the Love Makes a Family guide to responding to the current Victorian Law Reform Commission's inquiry into fertility law reform. Responses are due Monday 6 June 2005.

INTRODUCTION

Love Makes A Family has prepared this How To Guide in response to the first Position Paper including Interim Recommendations released by the Victorian Law Reform Commission (VLRC) on 11 May 2005 as part of its Enquiry "Assisted Reproductive Technology & Adoption - should the current eligibility criteria in Victoria be changed?".

We hope it will encourage as many interested people as possible to make individuals responses to this Position Paper and the two following papers.

The suggested responses below are consistent with the Fertility Access Rights Lobby and Victorian Gay and Lesbian Rights Lobby submissions made in the initial round of consultations in 2004.

Recommendations made in the Prospective Lesbian Parents submission have also been considered as have responses to the Love Makes A Family survey conducted during Midsumma 2005.
